Written by a commissioner, for commissioners

I'm Jack, commissioner of the Michigan Buddies Trip. Every autumn I run a 12-man, multi-round, Ryder Cup-style trip: two teams, captains, four-ball, foursomes, singles, skins on the side, and a cup that someone has to take home. For years the scoring lived in a spreadsheet that only I could edit, the standings lived in a group chat, and the money lived in my head.

Captain's Pick is the app I built to replace all of that. It is tested on my own trip first. The guides on this site are the notes I wish someone had handed me the first year: point schedules, handicap allowances, a spreadsheet that actually works, and a planning timeline.

Every rule and number in the guides is checked against its source, and each guide lists those sources at the bottom. If you spot something wrong, tell me.
