How do I create a trip?
Last updated
Tap Start a tripand work through five short steps. You don't need an account to build it: the wizard asks you to sign in with an email code only when you create the trip, and everything you set up is kept. Even a week-long, multi-format Ryder Cup takes under 10 minutes. You can change everything afterwards from the trip's tabs, so don't agonise.
- Basics. Trip name, dates and a short description. The number of days sets up the round board in the next step.
- Rounds. Pick a starting point: Ryder Cup (match points, two teams), Ryder Cup (quota), Stroke play, Points trip, or build your own. Then set each round's format on the board: Four-Ball, Singles, Stroke Play, Four-Ball Stroke Play, 2-Man or 4-Man Scramble, Foursomes, Chapman or Team Quota. Rounds can be 18 holes or a front or back nine.
- Games. Toggle the side games you want seeded: skins is on by default; low net, low gross, snake, closest to the pin and long drive are one tap each. You can add or edit games later on the Side Games tab.
- Players. Add names and Handicap Indexes. You are on the roster by default. For a two-team trip you can place players on teams now or let captains sort it out later.
- Review and create. You land on the trip overview with a setup checklist that tracks what is still missing.
How do I add courses and tees?
On the Roundstab, open a round and choose its course. You can search for the course and pull in its scorecard (par, yardage, stroke index, rating and slope per tee), or enter a scorecard by hand. Pick the tee for the round, and override individual players' tees if some of the group plays up.
What happens after I create it?
The trip starts as a draft. Invite players from the Players tab, set pairings from the Pairings tab (or let captains do it), and run a simulated round if you want to see how the scoring looks before anyone tees off. Setup, invites and simulation are free on every trip; see pricing and billing for when payment comes in.
